Construction en cours
ParisCONCRET's first show for 2011 will highlight work by painters Lon Godin (Amsterdam) and Marie Thurman (Paris).
These artists both create enigmatic 'all over' images which emerge as the products of refined physical processes.

"There'll be none of that French stuff here."
- Sir Robert Menzies (former Prime Minister of Australia) when asked about his thoughts on modernism and its effect on contemporary art in Australia circa 1940.
Australian artist John Adair will present a site-specific work, in part reflecting on Australia's rocky history in relation to contemporary European culture.
Lorsque Robert Menzies, qui fut Premier ministre de 1939-1941 et de 1949-1966, fut interrogé sur ses pensées sur le modernisme et son effet sur l'art contemporain en Australie, il répondit: « Il n'y aura rien de ces choses françaises ici ».
L'artiste australien John Adair présentera un travail in situ, reflétant en partie l'histoire compliquée de l'Australie par rapport à la culture européenne contemporaine.

Elemental
Nadya Bertaux, Anne Brochot, Myrianne Perelmuter; trois artistes parisiens qui, pour cette exposition, apportent chacun une approche de type peinture à la physicalité de la sculpture. Ce n'est pas par l'ajout de peinture ou de couleur, mais à travers les interactions de la forme élémentaire et du matériel qui se déroulent par rapport au mur.
Nadya Bertaux, Anne Brochot, Myrianne Perelmuter; three Parisian artists who, for this exhibition, each bring a painterly approach to the physicality of sculpture. This is not via the addition of paint or colour but through the interactions of elemental form and material played out in relation to the wall.

Les artistes travaillent à l’intérieur de limites qu’ils s’imposent. Par choix conscient ou non, ils feront certaines choses ou s’interdiront d’en faire d’autres. A l’intérieur de ces limitations, le défi est d’être créatif. Comment trouver une fraîcheur dans l’expression, dans les limites du champ d’exploration? Le travail est une recherche de solutions neuves vis-à-vis de vieux problèmes.
Artists work within self imposed limits. Whether by conscious choice or not, there are things they will let themselves do and things they would never do. Within these limitations, the challenge for the artist is to be inventive. How does one find fresh expression within the confines of a limited field of exploration? The work is a search for new solutions to old problems.

L'exposition solo de Marlene Sarroff à ParisCONCRET parle de transformation, de flux, d'ordre/désordre, de réduction, de répétition et d'accumulation.
Marlene Sarroff (au) displays a commitment to the use of mass produced materials, driven by the essential qualities of the material. Rather than altering it, she carries out an intense repetitive process and the material becomes another version of itself.
Marlene Sarroff’s solo exhibition at ParisCONCRET speaks of transformation, flux and order/disorder and of reduction, repetition and accumulation.

Pièces uniques
Courant février Clemens Hollerer (at), Roland Orépük (fr) et Jacek Przybyszewski (fr) s'inspireront de de leurs vocabulaires formels personnels pour effectuer une interaction entre travail et lieu.
"Pièces uniques" sera composé de trois œuvres individuelles créées in situ par les artistes en réponse aux conditions physiques de l'espace de la galerie.
During February Clemens Hollerer (at), Roland Orépük (fr) and Jacek Przybyszewski (fr) will each draw on their personal formal vocabularies to effect an interaction between work and place.
"Pièces uniques" will consist of three individual works created in situ by the artists in response to the physical conditions of the gallery space.

ParisCONCRET présente trois artistes peintres des Pays-Bas; Linda Arts, José Heerkens, Gijs Pape. Dans leur œuvre, la lumière et l’espace constituent les sujets les plus importants. Les trois artistes se rencontrent ici, bien qu’individuellement leurs raisons, vision et processus de travail soient différents.
ParisCONCRET presents three artists from the Netherlands; Linda Arts, José Heerkens, Gijs Pape. In their work, light and space are the most important subjects. These artists come together in their abstract approach to these topics although individually their reasoning, vision and work processes are different.

A propos de la peinture
En octobre ParisCONCRET présente des peintures d'Arjan Janssen (nl), Irène Kivinen (fr) et Michel Mousseau (fr).
Chacun de ces artistes construit une image avec de la peinture à travers un processus qui prend du temps.
Le processus implique des décisions sur la forme, les proportions, l’échelle, la couleur, le ton, la surface et le bord. Le travail concerne l’utilisation de la matière et le jeu de la lumière afin de définir un monde intérieur – peut-être pour définir quelque chose d’invisible – et le travail concerne la peinture.
During Octobre ParisCONCRET presents paintings by Arjan Janssen (nl), Irène Kivinen (fr) and Michel Mousseau (fr).
Each of these artists constructs an image with paint through a process which takes time. The process involves decisions about shape and proportion, scale, colour, tone, surface and edge. The work is about using material and the play of light to define an interior world – perhaps to bring definition to something invisible – and it is about painting.

Chacun d'eux a récemment élaboré de diverses déconstructions, reconstructions et permutations en commençant par le format carré et l'angle à 90°.
L'invention et la simplicité s’imposent.
In September ParisCONCRET presents the work of Federica Nadalutti, Antoine Nelen et Thierry Thomen; three French artists researching the physical and constructive properties of abstract painting.
Each one has recently been working out various deconstructions, reconstructions and permutations beginning with the square format and the 90° angle.
Invention and simplicity prevail.
